Saynete del tramposo. [ca. 1780?]

A short farce for 9 actors, in which several creditors visit the home of Don Alejandro, "el tramposo" or swindler, seeking payment of debts owed them. With his wife Doña Anastasia hurling insults at him for being such an idler and a cheater, Don Alejandro tries to pay his creditors with 7 "jewels" he keeps in his house--his 7 boys. Although the disgruntled creditors threaten to kill the swindler, in the end they vow to seek justice in the courts and hurry off to find the bailiff.
